Is there a schduled date ? also will this be a direct upgrade, or will i need to un-install 2.1.1 . then update to 2.2 ?

No, there is no current public schduled release date. The SimplePortal team doesn't set public targets, to avoid putting unwanted pressure on the Development team, as without this pressure a better end result can be produced.

I will say that the next release for SimplePortal 2 is not far off. At the moment there will not be a specific upgrade package, so the upgrade process will involve uninstalling the old version and installing the new version.

cute ... anyway 2.2 is the new version number, until one or two weeks ago the latest version of simple portal has been 2.1.
