An Error Occured
« on: March 01, 2009, 04:31:24 PM »
I tried adding a new php block and didn't like the way it turned out.  Every time I try to delete the block it wont let me do it and says "An Error Has Occured!".  Any ideas on why this is happening and how I could delete it manually?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Anything else in the error message? Would you check your error logs?

Are you using the latest version? Make sure that your SP template files are up to date, including the ones you may have copied to your custom theme.

I tried to update to the latest version but I had problems.  I read somewhere that you have to delete the old version first before putting the new one on.  The old version in my package manager does not have an uninstall link so I can't do it.  Any ideas?

From the error message, I guess your source and template files belong to different versions of SP. If you attach *all* files edited by SP here, I can remove the mod manually for you.

Thanks for your help Blue Dream.  I have attached the other three files you have asked for.  After you edit them do I just replace them on my server and then delete the Simple Portal from my package manager and then install the new one?  Also will I lose all the block I have now?

Thanks again,
Chris

Thanks for all your help Blue Dream.  I modified the last three files myself and uninstalled the old simple portal and I am now officially running 2.1.1.  Love the new features and I finally got rid of those blocks ive been trying to delete.  Took me all of about 2 minutes thanks to your help on the other files.
