Installation Problems
« on: April 09, 2009, 05:32:06 AM »
When Install the 2.2,

Every file tested succesiful except the index.php.

I started adding the codes on it one by one and tested it after each code block i added.

it seems the obly proble is this code..

" // Load some SP stuff.
sportal_init();. "

it gives me the below error on

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/afrowall/public_html/SSI.php on line 2115

what might be the cause of this?

my index.php is attached below

my forum is www.afrowall.com

maybe someone can find out if some other mod i installed is conflicting

I have applied the edits to your index.php file that weren't there, although that probably won't solve your SSI.php issue.

Can you please post your SSI.php file?

Wasn't SP related. There was a missing } in the 'ssi_whosOnline' function, it had some code changes that SimplePortal hadn't made.

Fixed and attached.

Ok, Thanks,

One more question.

The spiders online  doesnt show up again.

I guess its included on the guests list now.

Is that normal or is there what i can do to make it appear again?

I also installed the SIMPLE THEME CHANGER MOD to enable members select different themes,

Now i can see a block for that.

does the block has something to do with the my mod or did it come naturally with simple portal?

If you have the spiders enabled for SMF, it will be shown in the Who's Online block too.

Theme Select block is a built-in feature of SimplePortal added with 2.2 version.
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...
