The Fourm button!!
« on: April 10, 2009, 12:30:40 PM »
Sorry Guys!!!

have been trying for a few weeks and can not get this to work.

Here is what i have typed for the fourm button:
// Forum button
          if(!empty($context['portalactive']))
   $context['menubox'][]=array(
            'title' => $txt['sp-forum'],
            'link' => $scripturl.'?action=forum',
            'chosen' => 'Forum',
            'memberonly' => false,
            'guestonly' => false,
            'permission' => '',
            );

Have atached the entire buttons but if you want to look at it.
thanks.

Am using SMF 1.8 and Simple Portal 2.2 on Front Page Mode

That theme is doing setting up its code differently to most SMF 1.1.x themes, could you please post the 'template_menu_render()' function as well, or your entire '/themes/{themename}/index.template.php' file. So that I can check over that functions code as well, its likely that code from that function will also need changing.

The attached file should work, wasn't able to test it though because I don't know exactly which theme that is.

Which theme are you using? If I know which theme and can test it then that should help. :)

Attached file should work.

The only changes are in the 'template_menu' and 'template_menu_render' functions .

Are you running 2.1.1? The edits I made were for SP 2.2.

Also, which mode do you have SimplePortal set to?

He's running SP 2.2: http://www.swampys-swamp.co.uk/simplemachine/index.php

And he appears to be running it in Frontpage mode.
Ms. Eliana TamerinIt should be painfully obvious by now that I don't respond to support PMs. Don't send me PMs for support. They will be ignored and deleted, post on the Support Boards to get support.

Whoops, sorry
It appears you actually posted that in your first post anyway.

Try the attached '.php' file, make sure that it overwrites your old '\Themes\halloween2007_11\index.template.php' file.
