Installation OK. But SimplePortal doesnt work.
« on: June 03, 2009, 04:49:47 AM »
Hi,

last week I upgraded my forum to RC1-1. then my first portal software (portamx) didn't work any more. so I changed the portal software to simpleportal 2.2.1. the installation was OK, smf was not able to find errors, but i cant see the blocks. in the default theme theres no block, too. I've already cleared the cache.

please help me, the forum is already 24+ down.

Do you have any errors in your forum error log?
Is your 'Portal Mode' in your admin panel under 'SimplePortal' -> 'Configuration' -> 'General Settings' set to disabled? It needs to be set to a particular mode.
Do you have any blocks setup?

Also, can you please post a link to your website? (You can PM me it if you don't want to post it publically)

WOW, are you fast.
OK, the Portal Mode is set to "Integration".
I havent setup any blocks.

The Link to the Forum is:

EDIT: Oh, I see, theres an error in the forum error log:
8: Undefined index: show_sp1_info

Datei: C:/www/htdocs/classvz/home/Themes/dsV4/BoardIndex.template.php (main sub template - eval?)
Zeile: 403

If you are using Integration mode, you need to change the Display Options for blocks to be displayed on your forum. In which pages you want your blocks to be displayed?

Note that "Integration" mode means, you don't want a portal page, but you want to use blocks in forum. If you want a portal page, you need to select "Frontpage" mode.
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...
