Articles Block
« on: June 10, 2009, 09:33:19 PM »
Hi all,

I am just clueless with articles. I have SMF RC2 1-1 and SimplePortal 2.2.2. The site is www.rpgfrenzy.com.

I can go to admin, simpleportal, articles and add articles with no problem, and they show up on my front page.

However, I have a member group that has permissions to add and auto-approve, but I cannot figure out where they add articles; they can't see the admin, obviously.

So I tried creating a forum called "articles," and making it read only except for them. However, posting a topic in there does not make it go on the front page for them or for the admin (me).

I tried searching but no one seems to have had this problem and I can't google any instructions about it- probably because the solution is obvious, so I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question.

Greetings!

There should be an option to create an article next to the "Reply", "Notify", "..." buttons.

Btw. Nice theme.

Hi Ianus,

Thanks for the reply. There's no such button, but that must be because of the custom theme, because I see it in the default theme.

Now to figure out how and where to get that into the theme!

Thanks for the compliment, too. I used the lotro theme and then made my own logo and changed a few of the graphics.

I have just updated it to include instructions for the Display.template.php edit, which you need to apply.
