cry smiley not showing up in home page
« on: August 28, 2009, 05:17:33 AM »
May be a silly one but I thought I should share. The cry smiley appears in the forum post but displays only the semi-colon, singlequote and the left beacket rather than  :'(

Not sure why.

I use SMF1.1.10 and SP 2.3 RC1. Thanks.

That is in-fact rather odd. The only thing I could think of is that your portal uses a different theme than your forums.

Does it?

You are aware that those are the smiley images that I edited for SP? Did you ask permission from me to use the edited version?

I posted here about their source. You are free to obtain them there and edit them yourself, but you cannot use my edited versions without permission.
Ms. Eliana TamerinIt should be painfully obvious by now that I don't respond to support PMs. Don't send me PMs for support. They will be ignored and deleted, post on the Support Boards to get support.

My very sincere apologies. Please forgive. I dont know somewhere I read one of the users requested for these smileys and the answer was to save and use. I dont know whether it is here are in some other portal. (Other wise I will not posting some thing about this here)

But sorry once again. Ignorance is not forgivable. My sincere aplology. Could you please give permission for use please. If you give I will continue to use otherwise I will drop. thanks.

No. It takes the forum theme.

Since the smileys are non redistributable, just download them from that link.  Open them with adobe fireworks (if you have a copy) and resize them however big you want.  Save them as PNG8 with alpha transparency.

That's probably the best advice for you.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will right away start the work.

Dont worry I will do it myself. Meanwhile I replace yours with another smiley set.
