Good day,

I've search the site but can't find any tutorial or instructions on how to uninstall SP2.2 manually. I can't uninstall it automatically because the uninstall button does not appear. I tried the version emulate trick but still no success.

You can use the 'Manual Install Instructions for SMF' function on the SM.org mod page for SimplePortal (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1104).

Although it would be best to try and remove it the normal way, what exactly do you see? Is there an install button next to the SP 2.2 version? Its possible that it has been removed from the installed mods list (which can be quickly fixed).

Edit: Just realised that only devs/team members can see the older version on the SMF mod site, well try the second option first.

I have temporarily enabled 2.2, 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 packages on SMF Mod Site. You can use the instructions there.

Ah, I guess you restored your old files.

Add this code to a new line in your 'Packages/installed.list' file:

SimplePortal|^|SimplePortal_2.2.zip|^|[SiNaN]:SimplePortal|^|2.2
The package manager should then think that SimplePortal 2.2 is installed, and allow you to uninstall it.

Note: You may need to replace 'SimplePortal_2.2.zip' with 'SimplePortal_2.2.tar.gz'.
