2 Problems: Where's the pages? And What happened to menu block?
« on: September 04, 2009, 12:59:08 AM »
HI, Just making that update on my ongoing site I see 2 problems (as I see it):

1st: As you could read in the title, Where are listed the pages created? In portal, of course :D Not in the menu block, not in header, not options to put anywhere... Maybe I need to buy a new eyes :P but I just doesn't found it. This problem is with both IE, firefox and Chrome

2nd: Seeing the menu mod I just saw when the mouse go over some links open some sublinks the typically (ex: over Messages I see a box appear saying read messages) who doesn't are showed in all themes. Site is www.wealljapan.co.cc and I'm using MysticJade from DzinerStudio (of course XD) Those are showed in Firefox and Chrome, with IE8 I don't see that. Also I search in the Options, but I doesn't find anyting, so I suppose this is or a "bug" or a "new feature"

That's all  ;D Greetings from Spain  :thumbsup:

EDIT: You need obviously a user/pass. User is "test" and password "demotest"

1) Adding a page, does not add a menu button or a link in the menu bar, you have to add those manually. If you want the location of your pages, then there is a link to them from the admin area.

There is a feature request relating to this below:
http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=3240.0

2) I don't have a copy of IE8 with me, so I can't really test that. Not sure if its an issue with the theme or SimplePortal. Does it work in any other themes?

Just see the images attached XD, and sorry for saying is only with Firefox and Chrome. Just see and that is the bug XD This in mysticjade theme and also the default SMF theme. Greetings ^^

EDIT: Oh, and pages, I'll edit subs.php, I think is the easiest way to integrate it easily (from the very little who I know about SMF and code XD)

i also have this issue with the navigation menu

the popup submenu is aligning right all the time and in the iframe/block not outside it.

so everytime you hover over a menu tem with a sub item it creates a scrollbar in that block instead over been over the block.

Yeah, this just bothers me. If possible to deactivate this... I think I just could edit also Subs.php and delete those entries but... the bug is still there and maybe me not but other cannot just delete entries in subs.php Greetings ^^

Looks like that block will need some work with the next version of SimplePortal. The js doesn't work very well.

To remove the sub menu buttons, use this edit:
Code: ("Find this code (sources/PortalBlocks.php)") [Select]
if (!empty($button['sub_buttons']))
Code: ("Replace with this code") [Select]
if (false)
