  • {OCS}MasterSeal: I know this SB isnt' for support, but I just have a general question. Who would I contact to find out where SP stores its block info? Is it DB driven or files? I searched the site but came up with nothing. probably my fault any insight is appreciated.

uninstall problem T-T

Simple portal is the greatest mod i've ever use
so please help I can't wait to upgrade to 2.3

The problem is come from uninstalling of 2.22 there are 3 test failed files and I accidentally enter ok button>>>
kaboom! my site vanish into thin air
Luckily, I got a back up of my files after the replacement my site comeback ,with problems.

1. In package page there are apply at simple portal 2.22 instead of uninstall button it bring more test failed that I don't dare to proceed again.

2. nice tiny icon picture vanish from the portal all of them

So how can I uninstall 2.22 and upgrade it to 2.3 I don't know where to start please send help T-T

1) You can try to manually uninstall SimplePortal for the files where those errors are occuring. If you have no idea how to edit PHP files, then please attach the files where the failed tests are occuring, so that I can edit them for you.

Manually uninstalling SimplePortal for those files, then performing the uninstall process via the package manager, should stop any nasty errors from occuring.

2) The SimplePortal images do not appear to be where they should, but that shouldn't matter. SP 2.3 will add them again.

Thank for the quick answer

the problem is there are no normal 'uninstall' to perform
as I told you before I was perform the uninstall once with error
then load back the backup now my package page show 'apply now'
instead of 'uninstall' how can i normal uninstall with this?

Add the code below, to a newline at the end of your 'packages/installed.list' file. SMF will then think that SimplePortal is installed, so that you can try to uninstall it again.

after manual uninstall of index.php my site crash again

Your index.php had some major issues, it looked like someone had tried to install SimplePortal twice.

Anyway, I have remove all the SimplePortal edits from those files.
