Topic: SP2.2 block code while using 2.3

Greetings!

I’m have written a custom portal page, which includes some block code.
For this, I have copied some parts of the SPortal.php and paste them into my Portal.php.
(I don’t use the blocks itself, but only the php code.)

Question is…
Will the block code of SP2.2.2 still work after updating to SP2.3.

(I’m sorry to ask for something like that but I have a big “time black hole” just above my neck. Personally I don’t want to update in the next weeks, but my users would like to have a shoutbox. So I have to update (or face a revolution) but I don’t want to rewrite the frontpage it isn’t necessary.)

Not many of the blocks have been completely changed, so the block code should work fine.

Its likely that you will have to make some edits to that file. Although, I can't really determine that without knowing how you have coded that file.

Basically I use a simple table and paste the block-code into it. In the end it's a bit more complicated because I have add some mootool features which are shown depending on usergroup.
Because of that, the hole thing is a little bit fragile.

Time for a backup and a daring attempt.
