NEED HELP? If you're looking for support with Simple Portal, look no further than the Support Board!

Very important: Database errors : Unknown column 'spb.id_block' in 'field list'

Hi!
I get this error, everywhere.
I installed simpleportal 2.3, I can't acess the admin, I cant acces a upgrade.php, it gives me the same error.
Can anyone help me?
Or, can anyone give me the queries for the database?
I'm on the latest SMF 2 version
Thanks

Nathaniel

Please don't use all caps for your support topic titles, its like you're shouting. ;)

What exactly do you see when you view your forum? What is the error message?
What steps did you take to install SP 2.3, did you install it manually or via the package manager?

For SimplePortal (and SMF 2), the install2.php file is like the SMF upgrade.php file, it can be run via a browser if you place it in your forums main directory. It should perform any database upgrades, so you need to run it if you have manully installed SimplePortal.

Simpleportal2.2 was installed, in uninstalled it, and I installed 2.3.
You can see it at www.ninjoy.be; I can't even run install2.php, it gives me the same error.

You need to upload install2.php file from 2.3 package to your forum root, where SSI.php is. Then run with your browser. It won't give the same error.

Also you can reach to your forum by appending ?debug to your site URL, like http://myforum.com/?debug
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

N-Joy

I cant use the debug mode, look: http://njoy.sitefrost.com/forum/?debug

I get this error:

Unknown column 'c.id_category' in 'on clause'
Bestand: /home/njoy/public_html/forum/Sources/SPortal2.php
Regel: 402

I CANT run the install file; look
http://njoy.sitefrost.com/forum/install2.php

E: Whooohooo! I think I solved it! I had to delete some database tables :)

Nathaniel

So, did you completely solve the issue?

If you had just upgraded from SMF 1.1.x to SMF 2, then that could have caused the errors with the column names (dropping tables and then recreating them would solve that ;)).
