Hi,

On my forum www.chauffeursforum.eu i have the portal up and running and i am happy with it.

But at the bottom end there is a page index + counter: in dutch it says

pagina [1]

is there any way to get this removed because i find this very disturbing.
and i wanna clean this up.

Nathaniel

I can't see SimplePortal installed on your website.

But I can say, that you either have articles turned on, or you have an unnecessary Board News block, those are the two SimplePortal parts which show that index text.

Ehhhh??  you cant see it?

Oke that's a bit of a problem, if you look good at the bottom you will see that simple portal is instaled on the website.

how can that a board news block can be unnecessary?

ofcorse i had my own hand on the "look" of the forum.

but the link to simple portal is at the very end bottum in the lila section i cannot put it up, i have tried it but then the forum stops working.

Nathaniel

What are you using to display the text in the middle on your portal? If you are using the Articles feature then disable or delete any Board News blocks. If you are using a Board News Block, then disable the articles feature.

I am using board news to display the text in the middle.

Ant aint using articles and also that is turned off.

Nathaniel

It looks like you only have one "Pages" now, which is good. For the BoardNewsBlock, set the 'Posts Per Page' option to 0.

Thank you that did it for me.

But there is 1 thing that bothers me to (ofcorse)

You can set an specific topic from the forum to be shown on the boardnewsblock, only 1.

Is it possble to select more topics out of the forum to be shown on the boardnewsblock?

maybe 3 or 4??

that would be nice.

thanks for your time to support all this.

Nathaniel

If you want to choose which topics are shown on the portal, then use the Articles feature. The Board New Block is designed to show all of the topics from a certain board/s, if you want more choice, then the Articles feature is the way to go.
