SP Quick Edit V1.0
« on: October 20, 2009, 06:42:48 PM »
SP Quick Edit

This mod will put a Modify icon at the top of Simple Portal custom Pages that when clicked will take you to the admin panel edit page for that specific page.

This mod was made to make it quicker and easier to edit pages within Simple Portal.

V1.1 Planned Features:
  • Edit link for Custom HTML/PHP blocks

I have thought about adding an edit link for all blocks, but i personally think that this would clutter the portal up with too many edit buttons, if enough people would like this in V1.1 i will implement it.

Please post any issues you may have with this mod in this post Thanks.

What mod?
Ms. Eliana TamerinIt should be painfully obvious by now that I don't respond to support PMs. Don't send me PMs for support. They will be ignored and deleted, post on the Support Boards to get support.

Yeah i made it as i found it a bit tedious going all through the admin panel to make small changes.

i might add it to all blocks for the next release depending on the results of the poll

it should work with all versions, its been a while since i wrote it, but it only modifies SP files and not SMF.

I tried with my default SMF 2.0RC3, and it didn't install, RC2 either, tried 1.2 and it did.

also, I 'reverted' and the image won't show up anymore

Very good convenient idea

Is there a way you can put the edit button inside the body instead of the title?
I rarely use the title, I almost always check off "no body" and "no title"

I shall add an option so you can choose between them.

just installing fresh copies of SMF 2 RC3 and 1.1.11 to my server and will install SP then i shall begin rewriting this mod.

Oh and before you do that

Your could add the button to BBC blocks too, if only admins can see them, its not too bad anyway.

Im not sure what you mean, add an edit button to the BBC Block? why when the point of the button is to take you to the page editor, why would you need an edit button on that page?

I mean a edit button on the BBC blocks, so we can easily edit those too
