Custom HTML <h2> tag
« on: November 12, 2009, 03:04:23 PM »
On my SMF 1.1.10 forum, I used your Welcome custom html block as a welcome to my forum, editing the text but keeping the html formatting, like this.

Code: [Select]
<h2 style="text-align: center; color: #0000ff;
">Welcome to Fifty Plus Forum</h2>

This however does not seem to work on SMF 2 RC2 and I've had to use

Code: [Select]
<p style="text-align: center; color: #0000ff; font-size: 18px;
"><b>Welcome to Fifty Plus Forum</b></style>

to get a similar effect.

Am I missing something when it comes to SMF 2 ?

Is there any CSS related to h2 in Curve? That could be overriding it. You could check with a program like firebug or another web development tool to see if something's causing it to format unnaturally.
Ms. Eliana TamerinIt should be painfully obvious by now that I don't respond to support PMs. Don't send me PMs for support. They will be ignored and deleted, post on the Support Boards to get support.

You're right, in the CSS for Curve there is the following style for all Heading tags.

h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
Color:black;
font-size:1em;
margin:0;
padding:0;
}

If you're using a standard HTML block, you can use the Custom body CSS to overwrite that and put your own h2 definition in.

Thanks, so I'd create my own CSS and enter that CSS's H2 class into the dialog and it will be found right?

Thought I had found the answer here http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=2234.msg24605#msg24605 ut still having difficulties.
