Ads overlap with Shoutbox
« on: December 10, 2009, 09:30:22 AM »
Hi,

I have installed SP and at the same time using Ad Management.

When I add an ad for top of forum, left and right blocks overlap with ads and the layout gets mixed.

You can see the problem in ;

and what I really think it should look like is ;

The issue seems to be that your custom theme has a width too small to fit the Ad Management images as well as the left blocks, have a look at the display for the default theme to see what I mean.

Although, the Ad management mod is a bit redundant when you can just use Custom blocks to show ads.

Thanks for the reply.

The change of theme doesnt make much difference. AS you can see in my production site the everything related to portal & forum begins after the ads but in SP shoutbox locates itself right under the menu.

When I choose default theme it "seems" to be ok cause I have a wide screen but when I look at it on my laptop which is narrower I see that shoutbox overlaps Ads.

For the top banner you are right, the custom blocks can be used. I will try that too. Thanks for the reminding :)

The issue is that your ads are too large, if you can reduce their size then that would stop them from overlapping.

Sorry but I doubt it is the problem cause even if they are wide or not shoutbox is displayed over the forum grid and that causes the problem. If shoutbox would begin from the line that board starts that would be ok.
