Member Information Block
« on: December 18, 2009, 05:14:53 PM »
Good evening!

I just installed Simple Portal and I'm playing around with it. I added a Mamber Information block to the left column (which I adjusted to 180 px wide through the admin panel). I have a vertical scroll bar and I was trying to remove it but I can't figure out which file to edit. I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to increase the height of the member information block.

Thank you in advance!

 ;D

The height of that block should not be restricted. This could be an issue with how SP and your theme interact. Could you please post a link to your website so I could have a look at the issue?

Moved to the Themes and Graphics board.

I removed the details, as they were for an admin account. Publically listing those sorts of details is a bad idea. ;)

I made myself a test regular account called 'test', I will use that account as I don't really need admin access.

I couldn't see the issue on your website using Opera, which browser/OS do you use?

Managed to replicate the issue using Firefox.

The edit below will make your blocks look a bit better, by using the correct block template for your theme:

Code: ("Find (Themes/default/Portal.template.php)") [Select]
if ($context['SPortal']['core_compat'])
template_block_core($block);
else
template_block_curve($block);

Code: ("Replace") [Select]
if (true)
template_block_core($block);
else
template_block_curve($block);

Code: ("Find (Themes/default/Portal.template.php)") [Select]
$block['type'] == 'sp_menu'
Code: ("Replace") [Select]
$block['type'] == 'sp_menu' || $block['type'] == 'sp_userInfo'
Once the issue is resolved you can delete the test account that I made. :)

Thanks a lot. That looks WAY better. I was trying to figure out that border thing as well.

You've been a great help! I really appreciate you taking the time to take a look.
