Topic: error on install using smf 1.1.11

hi everyone i am trying to install the latest version of sp on my forums which is version 1.1.11 but i get this error, 1.     Execute Modification     ./index.php     Test failed. I also get this error if i try to install tiny portal but i can install ezportal fine.

i cant as i am only a admin for the site, but i do have the file manager mod and it says there is still a ezportal file after the uninstall should i delete that ?

I'll need to be seeing your index.php, something must have went wrong in there.

If you want to install SimplePortal, then it will probably require manual edits to your index.php file. We can only help with them if you post your index.php file.
