SMF 2.0RC2 with SP on separate domain problem
« on: January 05, 2010, 05:50:47 PM »
Hello everybody!

I got some strange problem, probably you've seen it before. But i can't find solution and decided to ask.

I have installed SMF2.0RC2 (converted from 1.1.11) on www.zzz.info (example url)
physical path is /home/www/forum

I installed as standalone SP on www.yyy.ru (physicaly its /home/www/), so the forum itself can be found on www.yyy.ru/forum

When i try to load www.yyy.ru - all is fine but not the uploaded avatars. Seems as this is another domain SMF restrict access to uploaded avatars - how to allow SMF/TP to use and show avatars on www.yyy.ru ?

----

p.s. seems fixed somehow...

sorry for posting :(

Using Forum independent cookies could help with this.

Anyway, marked as solved.

btw is here any chance to setup somehow cookies with my configuration, posted above to login from www.yyy.ru with forum cookie. Because at the moment when i'm trying to login from www.yyy.ru forum asks me to save cookie and redirects to  www.zzz.info. When i come back to www.yyy.ru - i'm not logged there.

Try asking that question over at www.SimpleMachines.org . Its not really a SimplePortal related issue.
