install portal finally done
« on: January 02, 2010, 05:49:09 PM »
OK , everything worked, it installed. But it was in the map /forum

So re installed everything and this time in the root. And i upload the lasted portal, get error about package dircetory, made Temp map , cmdd 777
I could install, and after install, nothing is shown in my menu. But when i look at packes it said its installed.

I did it exactly like the first time, and the first time everything worked, but i did in the map Forum and now in the root.
BUT i dont get it, i did it exactly like the first time, this time i needed to make a Temp map, cmod to 777, installed and now its installed but not in the menu..

It sounds like the package wasn't able to copy all of the SimplePortal files to their relevant locations, or that it couldn't make some of the edits. Try uninstalling SimplePortal (ignore any errors on uninstall) then chmod your Sources and Themes directories to 0777 and reinstall SimplePortal.

i uninstalled the portal, made the map source cmdd 777 ( was already (777) made map Themes 777, the maps in themes 777. Click installed,  and again nothing happend, but its installed.

Ok i tried this like 5 times now with install, and reinstall, changing Cmods, nothing happends, it installs, but doesnt show in the menu.
I made my public_html, cmod 777 too, but that didnt help.

Make a copy of your 'Themes/default/css/portal.css' file in your 'Themes/{custom theme name}/css/' folder. Then perform the edit below to your new file.

Code: ("Find") [Select]
div.sp_block
{
overflow: auto;
}

Code: ("Replace") [Select]
div.sp_block
{
}

You may need to refresh your browsers cache after making this change. (Ctrl + F5 for firefox)

Nah, i got some new questions. Not many but..
go to (http://badcompany   2clans.com/)
Than u see i dont got the small white background like this site. Better explanation: Look this site(simpleportal) you see the background color white.. i want that too on my site. Because when i click reply on a topic it doesnt have a background.
2. If u rnt logged in, u can also log in, in the header. I want to delete that, because i have now 2 times the same login on portal homepage..

Thats it :)

Ty!
