What blog? SimplePortal doesn't add a blog to your front page.

That is a Board News block, which you can delete. If you want to keep something similar (except you can choose which topics are shown) look at the Articles feature which you can enable in the configuration area of the SimplePortal admin section.

Any updates on this issue? Did you manage to disable the Board News block and configure the portal how you want it?

Thanks for your concern. I can config Board News block but I still don't know how can I choose only topic which I want to show on first page. Because of when I or member created every new topic it will show on my first page. Please advice me how to if possible. Thanksyou verymuch.

Remove or display the Board News block, then enable Articles from the admin area under 'SimplePortal' -> Configuration -> Article Setttings. The Articles appear just the same as the Board News block, except that you can choose which topics are shown.

If you just want just one article on your front page then set the 'Maximum Articles Per Page' setting to 1.

You will need to setup a category in the articles area of the SimplePortal admin area. That is where you can manage articles. There should also be an "Add as Article" button with each topic for any users that have permissions to add articles (admin have it by default, you can give other membergroups permission through the normal SMF permissions area).
