Topic: can simple portal be install on modified Babylon Theme

hi on this site xxx, babylon theme has been customised to display only admin topics on homepage. I want to know if installing simple portal now will mess things up. your reply please.

Generally SimplePortal works fine with any theme. You will have to add the 'Forum' button though, there is an image for it attached to this topic.

If you are referring to the ads then those are custom edits to the 'Themes/{theme_name}/index.template.php' file, they aren't SimplePortal related.

You should be able to get a similar effect by using SimplePortal blocks and playing around with the Style options. Some of the blocks on that site have disabled the block title.

No not the ads but just  the vertical boards on left, and listed topics on center the link again www.. Exactly how I want simple portal to work on my site. Thanks.

That is referring how to make your blocks look like the ones on that site.

For the left and right sides, they are included by default in SimplePortal, just put blocks on the left and right sides instead of the top and bottom sides.

The listed topics is done manually with a Custom HTML or Custom BBC block. Ie. you have to choose the topics yourself.

I am not going to give you exact explanation of how to make your site exactly like that. If you have a specific question then I would be happy to answer it though.
