Reverend Colin .... is ...here...:)
« on: December 22, 2008, 08:51:45 AM »
I didn't see this board before or I would have introduced myself before asking for help. I'm the Rev. I'm new to SMF and Simple Portal but overwhelmed with it's simplicity, features and most of all the support from staff and members alike.

I'd used phpbb for several years, it was a decent script but the support wasn't there. When you had a problem ... It was always ... your fault. Every update was a accident waiting to happen. The last, I tried, was 3.03. That was it for me. Little or no support. If they couldn't figure it out ... "you screwed up and we aren't talking to you any more."

The Portal system is very new to me and exciting. The minor problems I've had in installing were answered quickly with the right information and non condescendingly.

Hope to be part of this board for a long time.

I have an Auction Store site using php pro bid with the YSP system (Nash)
http://www.revsemporium.com

A site for my bike shop (now, pretty much a cybershop)
http://www.rt67cycle.com

Started my "religious" site. The religion of Common Sense
http://www.reverendcolin.com

and of course my Message board, which is using Simple Portal.

http://www.revsroadhouse.com

This is a politically incorrect message board where you can say what you want. It's a community of conservative and middle of the road (politically) adults. Our boards run the gambit from politics, humor, cars, music and motorcycles.

That's it. Stop over and take a look.

Yes to the ULC , to make a long story short.
I had a School bus and was going to Mardi Gras and Daytona for bike week. Found out I wouldn't have to re-paint the bus if it was part of a religious organization. So I had graphics made up for "The Church of Here & How" and off we went.

Yes, we had a wonderful time......... ;D
