Topic: Uninstalling Help!

I want to install 2.3.2 and for that i need to uninstall 2.3.1. but i can not uninstall it. when i click uninstall, it says test failed for 3 of the edits. what should i do?

please help/

You should manual uninstall them. Manual (Un)Installation Instructions:

I will have to manually uninstall the whole thing? or just the items which are showing "test failed"?

if the answer to the second question is "YES". will i manually edit those "test failed" items before clicking on the automatically Uninstalling button?

1) Just the edits that are showing 'test' failed. All the other edits should uninstall fine.

2) You remove them, before or after you uninstall SimplePortal. Usually I would uninstall SimplePortal then remove any leftover parts.

Okay... going to try now.

but a painful memory is making me nervous. last time it showed test failed (when installing), i made clicked on install and then wished to manuanly edit teh test failed items. but the forum went completely offline and i had to intall smf from the scratch again.

If it fails then you can always check each file to remove any remaining bits of SimplePortal code, you can also ask for help here.
