What is simpleportal.net's front page using?
« on: May 26, 2010, 11:48:40 PM »
I really like the front page of simpleportal.net.

This is almost identical to a site I admin that is using Joomla.

What I would like to know is how the menus "Home/forum/about" actually come from?
I've searched around and see seem to find anywhere this is actually mentioned.

Is this a customisation or a default?

Thanks

Koops

I assume this site's theme is done in the standard 2.0 RC3 "Curve"-type way.
The buttons are listed in Subs.php, in a function called setupMenuContext
They are actually displayed in index.template.php, in a function called template_menu.

You can learn a lot about templates at simplemachines.org. Some of that information is in the online manuals, but a lot more of it is available on the forums.

I'll move this topic to the themes board.

Have you tried the SimplePortal documentation?

Mehmene is a custom theme, but still very similar to the default CURVE theme. The biggest changes are in the background-images file, and in the CSS file.  While you cannot look at the php code, you can compare the CSS file and at the background-images file to their default counterparts to see how it was done.
