Images in RSS block
« on: August 26, 2010, 10:06:29 AM »
Is it possible to make an RSS block that shows the images that come with the RSS feed?

Have you tried the SimplePortal documentation?

By default, RSS Feed block will get rid of all HTML tags in the feed content. However, the new block in 2.3.4 lets you preserve the tags you define. If you used this for Tags to Preserve option, it should display the images too:

Code: [Select]
br,img
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

This sounds great but I cannot get that code to work, am I doing something wrong?

Tags to Preserve: br, img

I have since removed them but that's where they were. - Thanks

So you were preserving those two tags, in the RSS settings, but this was not working?

Yes, but images only showed as blank blocks?
