Database errors
« on: October 29, 2008, 05:59:02 AM »
Hi guys

Just installed SimplePortalClassic2.0.5.tar.gz on SMF 1.1.6. Using the Babylon Theme. I get the following errors in the Admin Panel:

When clicking on Block List
Unknown column 'force_view' in 'field list'
File: /home/smallstr/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs-SPortal1-1.php
Line: 43

When adding a block:
Unknown column 'force_view' in 'field list'
File: /home/smallstr/public_html/forum/Sources/SPortalAdmin1-1.php
Line: 485

When enabling SimplePortal under General Settings, the following shows on the entire site:Unknown column 'force_view' in 'field list'
File: /home/smallstr/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs-SPortal1-1.php
Line: 43

Any help is MUCH appreciated, thanks

Unpack the package upload the upgrade1-1.php and call it with the browser... than everthing in the database will be fixed, updated and corrected...

I did the database upgrade, using the files upgrade_1-0.sql, upgrade_1-1.sql and upgrade.php. However, I cannot find the upgrade_1-1.php file?

I can access everything, but still get those errors as above.

...
Unpack the Simple Portal Mod Package (SimplePortalClassic2.0.5.tar.gz) of the Version 2.0.5.
In that package is a file with the name Upgrade1-1.php.
Upload that file to you forums master directory.
Afterward call the file with the browser.
Than there should stand something like 'Database changes done'.
After that the error should disapear because your database is now updated for Simple Protal!

Eish, sorry to hear! Hope the illness becomes a thing of the past very soon!! Good luck!

What I actually meant it, can I try an older version of the Mod? Cannot find anything older than 2.0.5 to download (SimplePortal Classic 2.0.5) is what I've got installed at the moment.

Yeah, noted, but it does not seem to work for me, so I though't I'd try some older version. Installed 2.0.2, did not work either.

Can anyone help me with this issue?? It looks to be a really awesome Mod, and I'd love to use it, but so far I'm totally stumped!

you just need to add a 'forum' button to your index.template.php file. package only does that for 'default' theme. if you don't know how to add a button, just attach your theme's index.template.php file here and someone will do it for you.
