A block to list all articles by title
« on: November 19, 2010, 11:41:35 AM »
ok, thank you Angelina,
i try to explain my need; i already use the SimplePortal articles system, i would like to have a block(like a page) with an index for all the articles.
Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot for your work and your support

One option with the articles block is 'headers only'.  Does this do what you want?

Thank you for splitting the topic Angelina.
In simpleportal 2.3.1 with smf 1.1.11, if i add the articles block i can choose these options:
-Articles to display (No.)
-Display Type (random and latest)
-Image
-column
i cannot choose only headers from all articles.
i never find that option.
where is my mistake?

Oh!  I am so sorry!  I was looking at a custom version of the articles block -- one that I wrote myself.  I forgot that I had added that feature (because I wound up not using it).

I do not know of any site using the headers-only option.
If you wish to test it, I can suggest you save the function using  a new name, then call it from a custom php block (which you only show on a test page), and try out all the parameters.

Then you will be able to see how you like it.
