Topic: Return to portal page instead of forum page on login and logout

I just upgraded from RC3 to RC4 and also upgraded SP to 2.3.3.
All is working except one small minor irritation. I have the portal mode set as front page, and it is working as it should if someone comes to the site normally by the site url-  however once anyone logs in, they are then sent to the forum main board, not returned to the front page. This also happens upon logging out, the forum board is displayed, not the portal front page.  I have info on the portal front page that is not visible to guests, and I would like them to see it upon logging in.
It was working correctly before I upgraded from SP 2.3.2 to 2.3.3.  I have all the settings exactly the same as I did before the upgrade.
Any ideas on how to correct this would be greatly appreciated. 

Sorry, it was right in front of me the entire time. I had been staring at the screen for too long doing the upgrade of both forum and reinstalling all my mods I guess. 
Unchecked disable portal redirection.
