Urgnet help: Uninstallation of SP2.3.3 and errors
« on: January 22, 2011, 11:21:47 PM »
Hello there,

since I have upgraded my site from SMF 2.0 RC3 to SMF2.0 RC4 and for this I hv upgraded SimplePortal from 2.3.2 to 2.3.3 I was getting site heaviness compains from members but now my hosting company suspended my site because of SP index file. As per SMF is concern I hv moved attachment and Avatar folder on other folders but load on server's CPU is still same.

Now I want to uninstall my SP but now getting errors.

Screen shot is attached herewith.

Please urgently help me out to resolve this issue because I dont want to suspend my site again.

Looking forward for your prompt response

Try use SMF parser and you can see what line stay in index.php. You can delete that line manually.
Use your cpanel account or FTP to edit index.php.

You must quickly delete :) only this line from index.php after uninstall simpleportal:

Code: [Select]
require_once($sourcedir . '/Subs-Portal.php');

Thanks for your response. But I dont want to loss contents of SP and SP itself.

New update is that my hosting company suspended my site because of too much server resources usage of SMF and SP

They give me very short time to correct this issue.

I am trying to fresh install SMF 2.0 RC4 then import my data from old forum then install fresh SP 2.3.3

Do you think it would resolved the issue on urgent basis?

Please do reply me promptly because my site is down since I hv started this thread.

Thanks and best regards
Raji Baloch

Do u think I should uninstall SP 2.3.3 with errors in un-installation test?
then remove your quoted code?

I dont want to loss my SP CONTENTS, for this what should I do?

I don't know. I am think that you want to complete reinstall the SP and above is a procedure to remove SP. In my experience when I am reinstall simple portal (without delete simple portal SQL tables for simple portal) after that install new simple portal version and content of my blocks is the same like before reinstall.

After reinstall simple portal you have only SMF forum without SP blocks and content inside that blocks. I don't know what you planed after reinstall simple portal but you can do that on your own responsibility.

I hope that I am understand what you're talking about.
