Some Install Tests Failed
« Reply #1 on: January 31, 2011, 10:24:09 AM »
SimplePortal can be made to work with any theme.
It works very well with the default theme.
It has an option to modify your other themes. This may work well, or you may need to do some tweaking afterwords, depending on the theme.

Where the SimplePortal tests failed, this is because of other mods you have already installed.

The way to handle this is with a PARTIAL manual install
1) Figure out exactly what changes the Package Manager cannot handle
2) Figure out exactly what changes you will have to make by hand
3) Run the install in Package Manager
4) Do the manual changes yourself.

Please see documentation at http://simpleportal.net/index.php?action=docs;area=solving_install_problems for more information on  solving install problems, especially the part on doing manual installation.

When it comes down to individual lines that failed the tests, you can ask again here for some more specific help, if you need it.
