Topic: Adding Adsense Leaderboard Ad Before Portal On Front Page

I'm using SMF 2.0 RC 4 and have Simple Portal 2.3.3 installed on two sites.  www.galaxytabforum.com and www.motorolaxoomforums.com

I have ad management 2.3.6.4 installed and while the Leaderboard ads appear on the forum and on post and message pages I can't figure out how to make it appear on the Portal page which arguably is the most important page for it to be appearing on.  The Portal page appears to override the ad management option to have it appear on all pages which i've tried.

I don't want to put it in a block because it would be too low and push the whole portal even further down the page.  There is more empty white space above the portal than I would prefer so I'd like to know where in the template or what file needs to be modified in order to put a one row table above the portal...but not part of it to put the adsense code.    Your help is much appreciated!

You could always create a block, using SimplePortal, then modify your index.template.php to put that block somewhere in the top part of the template. You could use the simplest form of blocks-in-blocks (http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=5332.0) to do this.
