Theme issue
« on: April 13, 2011, 08:51:36 PM »
I have done a search, didn't come across anything. I also wasn't sure what i should be searching for.

Ok, i have Rc5 and Simpleportal. My theme works fine but when i go to the admin panel i have a big gap and it's quite annoying.

Has anyone found a fix for this gap?

Sorry if it's been asked before.

Do you have that gap only in Manage SimplePortal areas? Do you see the same gap in SMF Default Theme - Curve?
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

I don't see the gap in the curve theme but in the core theme i do. The gap is in all area of admin.

Do you have this problem ONLY when SimplePortal is installed, or do you always have this problem?

I see a similar problem in other places, like, for example: http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?board=7.0
I see this problem with IE7, but not with IE8 or IE9. I don't see the problem with Safari 5.05.
This kind of problem arises because of things the SMF team and/or the theme designer has tried to do to make the output compatable with all popular browsers.

edit: fixed typo, clarification (SMF does not make all the themes)

I got it fixed. It turns out it was the theme causing it. I downloaded a new theme comtiable with Rc5 and it's fixed. Seems to be working well. Thank you everyone for the help.

It happened only when simpleportal was installed

You may lock this topic cause i can't
