Morn Eude,

I'm not very good at this but never stopped me from trying.

It might be a little more helpful if you provide a little more info like what type of block and perhaps all the code that is in the block.

Off hand, doesn't <br> need a closing </br> ?

Eudemon

it doesn't matter what type of block, if i remove the double <br> block
the extra <br> will fall to the block above it

Off hand, doesn't <br> need a closing </br> ?
and btw it's is <br /> not </br>
the space and slash is proper XHTML syntax for html tags that don't have a closing tag
but without the slash it will still work

i am not quite to sure, but you will probably have to look in Portal.template.php
which can be found in your Default theme.

there is definatly a "<td id="sp_center">';" in that file, so you will probably find your extra <br> in there as well..!!

good look
as a foot note:
i went from a SMF 1.1.11 to SMF2 RC3 with out any problems what so ever, first of all de-install all Mods, converted to RC3, then installed SP2.3.2, then installed the required Mods.

Eudemon

found that <br> under
function template_portal_below()

thx
