page modification
« on: October 27, 2011, 12:30:28 PM »
I am working on mobile access for my forum users. We use the shoutbox quite heavily, I want to create a page that will display the shoutbox and one or two other blocks for simple viewing. This is easy. the issue I am having is I want that page to call up a different font size than my default forum.  So I assume I will add a div tag to the page index to pull a different font or even another css sheet. The problem I am having Is I cannot find the file that renders the pages.

I thought of a workaround by using a separate theme that uses the mobile page as its main page. But this means I have to write a new theme. Our theme is highly customized and this will prove to be more of a pain than just rendering the font for that page a different size.

any help?

Ok, so for anyone wondering. I ended up using the blocks in blocks custom php coding to add my existing shoutboxes inside a second block. (so the same shoutbox an be displayed in two Different windows) Then coded a custom windowbg div in my main index that would remove any unwanted navigation icons, and changed the font (for my custom window only) so when displayed on a cell phone my users no longer have to zoom way in to see the shoutbox.  there is about 2 seconds of lag between the time a post shows up in the default shoutbox display and my custom one. but we cant have our cake and eat it to.

oh yea, thanks for all your help...

I apologize that this got overlooked. Our Team is very small, and we're all volunteers, so sometimes things slip through the cracks. It's disheartening that you had to experience that firsthand, and I do truly apologize.

However, I'm glad to see that you were able to solve this issue. Do you need any further assistance?
Ms. Eliana TamerinIt should be painfully obvious by now that I don't respond to support PMs. Don't send me PMs for support. They will be ignored and deleted, post on the Support Boards to get support.
