Custom headers
« on: June 22, 2010, 05:01:26 AM »
How do I place a custom .jpg image over the .bg (whatever) image that is over the header of the blocks? I noticed a "custom" window but I'm not sure how to set that up. I even tried overwriting one of the .bg files to change but it simply made the header go blue. How do I go about placing my own over them?

Pretty much I want my sidebar to have this kind of header on it. A "curve":

I'm using SMF 1.1.11 and Babylon

If someone know what code/adjustments I need to make to apply my jpg to the main index column, that would make my day. Heh

You can use the Block Editors Style Options to make this kind of change -- http://simpleportal.net/index.php?action=docs;area=block_editor

You can add inline style options, or you can create a new style class in portal.css (perhaps as a copy of .catbg, with a few changes), and use this on all of your blocks.

Have you tried the SimplePortal documentation?

I've seen the block editor and tried selecting custom title class, however, I am not sure what I am to put in that bar. the "../images/picture.jpg' or what?

And where is the portal.css? I can directly code it in? Thanks for the response.

Firstly make a copy of the "Themes/default/portal.css" file in your "Themes/{themename}/" folder.

You can put css code directly into the "Themes/{themename}/portal.css" file, you will need to refer to it using the 'Custom Title Class' and 'Custom Body Class' class options for each block (unless you directly change the sp_block class).
