Simple portal Slider not view-able
« on: January 04, 2012, 05:48:12 AM »
Hi so today I installed Simple Portal (version 2.3.4) in my SMF forums (version 2.0.1) .So before i installed SP i installed a Content slider to my site, It worked great but as I installed SP it did not appear in the home page :/ .But after in uninstall SP again it works .... Is there anyway to fix this ?? PS- Im not really familiar with Web designing ( Still in the process of learning CSS)

I've see a site use a portal and a slider, but they have used TinyPortal. Here is the link to the site - http://gamer.lk

If anyone here can help me That would really save my day !

Thanks in advance and best regards

Hashen

Have you checked the mod to see if any code is required to be added to a portal block or file?

This would really depend on how the slider is implemented.
You would want to be familiar with HTML, CSS, javascript, and some php to track down the reason for the problem.

I got the Featured Content Slider working fine with HTML block but I developed a mod with it that requires PHP block.

You can check here for workable one with HTML block: http://www.theinfostrides.com

The slider does not work with "PHP Block". Here is the error message received:

Code: [Select]
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ',' in /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/Sources/PortalBlocks.php(3562) : eval()'d code on line 8
Any help here please!
