Hello,

I keep getting the Recent Posts on Bottom Blocks at the home page of the SP even after I have deactivated and deleted them from Bottom Blocks. (see attached) Although I have it on the Right Blocks, which I need it there. But I do not want it to be shown in the Bottom Blocks.

In the forum Configurations -> Current Theme -> Number of recent posts to display on board index: 0
I have zero.

Is there a way to have the Recent Posts shown in the forum and on the Left or Right side of the blocks but not in the Bottom Blocks?

Thanking you in advance.

SP v 2.3.3.

Do you mean the Recent Posts in the Info Center on Board Index? That's not related to SimplePortal. Normally, it should disappear if you set the number to 0 through Theme Settings. There might be a problem with your theme then. You could ask about that at simplemachines.org.
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

I mean in the home page of the portal (not forum).
Right bellow of the Welcome block.
Bottom Block Centre. I just need to remove the posts from there. I have deactivated them from the Block settings but they are still there.

Thanx.

Hmmm, perhaps want you want to get rid of is the Board News block? I don't see any other block at the center related to posts apart from that one.

I have disabled "News" in Admin>Current theme> but Recent Posts are still showing in the front page of SP on the bottom block.

This is very frustrating.. I don't know what else to try.

In the center of your portal page at http://cyprusaeromodelling.com/forum/index.php?

To me, this looks like you are seeing articles.

Is this correct? These are your articles?

It's the Board News block that's displaying the posts, as I said before. It's the last block in the Top Blocks column, just under the block named "Welcome". Try disabling or removing that block.

It worked! Yes!!! They are gone now!  ;D

But why it was enable on the Top Block and showing on the Bottom Block?

What's the difference between "Forum News" and "Board News"?

Thank you very much for your help!

Do you have articles enabled? Do you have any articles at all?
If it is enabled on the top block, but there is no "center area" separating the two, it is hard to tell if it is top or bottom.

Forum News = The news you set up at ?action=admin;area=news
BoardNews = posts from your forum's boards

Yep no articles at all = no separation between top blocks and bottom blocks.

Glad you've got it all worked out
