Topic: Shoutbox Block won't appear whatever I do!

Hi,

I have upgraded to SP v2.3.4 (by upgrading SMF to v2.0.2 and installing the mod fresh) but now I can't get the Shoubox Block to appear.  The Shoutbox is listed in the shoutboxes list screen, the block is listed in the blocks screen but neither appear.

This did work when I did an install yesterday with SMF v2.0.2 and SP v2.3.2 (I just installed SP and my shoutboxes and blocks all re-appeared - obviously they're  defined in the DB).  However, then I realised that SP v2.3.2 is not the latest version so I started from scratch and now I have SMF 2.0.2 and SP 2.3.4 and no Shoutbox.

I only have one mod installed - SP v2.3.4.  Can anyone give me any help and advice please?

I would check the block permissions again (there was a problem using preview resetting permissions to disallow). I would also check permissions for the shoutbox. New admin permissions for blocks could result in you not seeing it.

There are several places you can check.
Permissions is one (for the shoutbox, and for the shoutbox block as well)
Display options is another

Can you begin with the shoutbox block itself -- what permissions have you chosen, and what display options?
