Install this mod and it's all for the better
Only problem .... conflicts with the chat "simple portal.
Crashes and no longer works
Do you have an idea about the problem?
How can I fix this?

I am not familiar with that mod. Does it use AJAX and/or DHTML?
Is your forum working at all now (if you go directly to ?action=admin to avoid the shoutbox block)?
 
Did you get errors on your error log? Is it a permission problem, a php problem, a database problem?
 
Can you find out what server errors you get (not on the SMF log -- on your server log, which you should be able to see from your account's Control Panel).
 
Does the forum work OK if you disable Javascript?
 
Either the problem is directly in one of the php files and occurs immediately on install. Or else the problem comes up later, if the two mods have $modsettings elements of the same name.  Or even later, if there is some kind of DHTML or AJAX "collision".
 
It could take a bit of work to track the problem down. You have contacted the author of YIM for some information about that mod?

I'm glad you found the problem and reported it to the YIM author.
I am surprised that blank lines at the end of YIM's php file caused so many problems for you.
