Headers error help
« on: February 07, 2011, 10:25:44 PM »
SMF 2.0 RC4
SPortal 2.3.3
www.dadshideout.com

http://dadshideout.com/index.php?
2: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent

I'm getting this error anytime anyone lands on the portal for every user that goes to the portal. If I disable the portal I can jump around with no errors, reenable it and go to the Home(portal) page and I get this error.

Any help is appreciated.

It sounds as though the call to send the headers is being done twice.  That sounds as though a line has been added twice, through some kind of installation error.

Perhaps sportal_init appears twice in /index.php?

Can you check?

That would have been too easy.

Somehow, headers are being sent twice.

I will check further

Can you find out WHICH header information is being rejected?
That would certainly help narrow things down.

Our host is working on this too now our servers were moved and theres some wierd stuff going on.

How would I go about finding what information is being rejected? No matter what I've done the error log doesnt give you info on anything more than the modify headers area.

It would take some digging and tracing, to get hold of the part of the code where the headers are sent, and find out when it is being sent/why it is being sent twice.
