Is it possible to edit, add, or remove tabs on the navigation bar at the top of the forum?

e.g. Home | Forum | Help | Search..

Yes.

How you do this depends on the theme you are using.
You don't need any SimplePortal knowledge to do this -- you can read about adding theme buttons at simplemachines.org, or you can have a look at SimplePortal's add-a-button tutorial at
http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=52.0

This is for non-curve themes.  For curve themes, you don't edit a theme file at all  :nervous-happy:
Please to keep this website running, if you like SimplePortal, make a

Have you tried the SimplePortal documentation?

I don't quite understand what the tutorial is saying. I'm not using one of the given SMF themes. I'm using the Inferno theme.

it does not really matter which theme your using, adding Tabs is done in the Subs.php

Adding tabs to SMF 2.0 try this tutorial, this will give you Tabs in SMF and SP

if you need more help then there are a few more pointers on the SMF website, that i have worked on.

Yet another Add tabs question ;)
another TAB highlight question
as a foot note:
i went from a SMF 1.1.11 to SMF2 RC3 with out any problems what so ever, first of all de-install all Mods, converted to RC3, then installed SP2.3.2, then installed the required Mods.

Johnccccccc did make a great mod to add up to 6 custom tabs if you want to use that;

Nick, it doesn't work for me. When I try to add a tab, it doesn't appear. Any other way to add a tab?

did you follow these steps shown in this tutorial ?

Adding tabs to SMF 2.0

it is quite straight forward if you just follow the steps mentioned in the above link.

Oh, thanks Dean! I didn't replace the whole $txt and $scripturl line, that's why it didn't work. Thanks so much.
