« on: April 24, 2012, 08:41:39 AM »
hello i need help
when i go in my forum i receive Unable to load the 'Portal' template error.

What did i do?

Well recently i had changed the directory of the forum and did not edit most of the path to the correct path.
then i uninstall the mod, there i got unable to load the 'portal' template error.

Please i need a fix to it ASAP!

I am not sure what happened.
It sounds like there was a problem during uninstall. The Simple Portal files went away, but the code in the SMF files which tries to load them stayed.

This is a messy situation.

How many other mods were installed?

The least I can instantly think of doing is manually reinstalling the selected files so that you can get back your homepage, however, why it's not uninstalled correctly is beyond me, as Angelina said, it sounds like SMF is still trying to load a mod you've uninstalled.

I don't know WHAT state the SMF files were left in -- how many edits were left undone.
It could take a few steps to figure that out.

The solution requiring the least amount of brainpower to work out would be:

Replace all the php files with originals from the install set.
* /index.php
* /Sources/*.php
*/Themes/default/*.php

Then try to repair settings, and try installing the mod again.
