IE8 error for clicking toward SP configuration page
« on: September 16, 2010, 06:32:11 AM »
I use:
SMF 2.0 RC3
SP: 2.3.2

I get on the IE8 browser in the left under corner a yellow triangle with exclamation mark and the text "fault on the page".
I get this error when i click on the line tab above Admin (tab scroll out and then i choose SimplePortal.
I come then immediately on the SP configuration page.

I check different things:
No changes when i set my forum on english or dutch.
No changes when i set the default theme on or other theme.
No changes on IE8 between using compatible button or normal.

I think its a IE8 issue because if i look in firefox then there is no problem.
There is also no error in the logbook.

The problem is that the code expects document.all.spVersionsTable to exist, but it doesn't.

I've been ignoring this one, since it is only a problem for admin. I think this is probably a problem no matter which browser is used.  I searched through the code for spVersionsTable, and cannot find this element added to the document anywhere.

I have now reported the cause of this bug, along with two possible fixes.
 http://simpleportal.net/index.php?issue=401.0

Using the default theme (I only have simpleportal, AEVA media 1.1b, and PDF Tag installed) I get.

That line is:
Code: [Select]
with (document.all.spVersionsTable)

That function gets added to the onload event to be executed as soon as the page is done loading.
