SimplePortal Version: 2.3.3

Forum Version: SMF 2.0 RC4/5

Site: http://revivalgaming.byethost11.com/

Problem: Well, I just made this new site, so I made a few custom groups... and theirs a problem, I made this group called "Admin" and for some reason. It will not show the admin user on staff list, can someone tell me how I fix this type of issue?

Go to your list of membergoups. Hover over the link to one of the membergroups. Notice where, in the URL/shortcut, it says "group=1" for Administrators? Every group has a group= something.

Can you tell me how I can just put group ids, not putting like members ids and stuff? If so, please list code below!

I thought, at first, there would be a simple function someplace to get Group Members. But I couldn't find anything like that. So it looks like the easiest way to get hold of group members is just to use some SQL to get them.
So I think that, once you know your groupr IDs, you would do something like the following.
I haven't tested any of this, so I recommend that you add only one line at a time.
I also don't think that this is the best possible way to do it -- I have used a function (list_getMembers) that does more than we have asked it to do
Code: (find) [Select]
$admins = membersAllowedTo('admin_forum');
 $all_staff = array_merge($local_mods, $global_mods, $admins);
Code: (replace, after testing one line at a time) [Select]
$admins = membersAllowedTo('admin_forum');
$otherGroupIds=array(5,21,72); // A list of group IDS that you can get from the list of membergoups.
$whereclause= 'WHERE (mem.id_group = ' . implode(' OR mem.id_group =',$otherGroupIDs) . ')';
$otherGroupMembers=array();
 $request = $smcFunc['db_query']('', '
  SELECT mem.id_member
  FROM {db_prefix}members AS mem
  ' . $whereclause,
  array('id_group' => $gid)
   );
   while ($row = $smcFunc['db_fetch_assoc']($request))
           $otherGroupMembers[] = $row;
  $smcFunc['db_free_result']($request);

$all_staff = array_merge($local_mods, $global_mods, $admins, $otherGroupMembers);
