Where is PortalBlocks.php in 2.1.1?
« on: September 14, 2010, 01:11:20 PM »
Hi people,

I am trying to do this mod:
http://wiki.wowhead-tooltips.com/install:simpleportal

However i am using SP 2.1.1 and i don't have this file.

Where must i change this in version 2.1.1?

Thanks in advance.

It would be very difficult for anyone here to offer you support for SimplePortal 2.1.1

My advice is to uninstall SimplePortal 2.1.1 and install SimplePortal 2.3.2.

Have you tried the SimplePortal documentation?

Thank you for your honest advice.

However in my opinion "if it isn't broken don't fix it" or what i mean is; the new SP does not anything i want.

I have messed around further and i can say that PortalBlocks.php is SPortal1-1.php in 2.1.1, had it working at some point but it breaks several other things such as avatars and when you reply to a thread it does not automaticly reload and bring you to the new post, but gives a blank page.

Guess i'm on the right track which means i'll get there eventually.

Thanks again for your help, ill post how i got it working when i eventually do, might help someone in the future.

You've already done http://wiki.wowhead-tooltips.com/install:smf, right?
http://wiki.wowhead-tooltips.com/install:smf#special_note

Simply doing more bbc_parse type stuff to a message body as displayed in a simpleportal block should not cause the errors you describe.

To narrow down these errors, I would put off altering the SimplePortal file until you've fixed the other errors.

You will probably get more and better help at the wowhead tooltips mod's support forum.
