Block above calendar and search
« on: March 05, 2014, 02:50:05 PM »
I want a block to appear above the calendar and search pages.

When I select "display options" and choose "everywhere" the block appears everywhere except on the search page or the calendar page.

Is there a way of making the block appear on these 2 pages?
Thanks.

Are you using 2.3.5? I've just made some blocks "everywhere" (on the right side) and they do appear on all pages, including search.
Greetings, Black Tiger

Thank you. I am using 2.3.5.

I did have "everywhere" highlighted.
Since reading your reply I have found that the URLs leading to "search" and "search2" behave differently with one showing the block and one not.

Still can't get the block to appear above the calendar though.

Appreciate your reply. Thank you.

May be you need to tick calendar.

In the edit block option go to

Display option > Advanced Options > Select actions > tick calendar and then edit block.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I tried it but it did not solve the problem.
Appreciate your idea though.
Thank you.

np, you sure that block is active? and try adding it to top or header blocks?

Thanks for the suggestion.
Tried creating the block as bbc, html, php, and putting it "everywhere" and action "calendar", and postition in header, top, left etc, but cannot get any block to appear on the calendar page.

The calendar page seems to act differently to every other part of SMF in terms of whether I can add a block or not.

Thanks for your ideas.

I just tested adding block to calender on my forum and it worked, I can test it on your forum if you would like to?
