Hello!

As you can see if you open up my site, there are no smileys displayed in news post (it should display zerg icon, but it only shows :zerg: text). When you open up topic, smileys are visible.
I googled and searched on this forum for this error, but didn't find anything similar.
Thanks for help.

Me again.
I think I found what caused the problem.

http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=5936.msg35058;topicseen#msg35058

Now, if I keep original file there are "..." at the end. If I apply this fix smileys disappears. Any suggestions?

Yes, I was using Board news block.
Anyway, fixed my problem, really stupid mistake.

http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=5936.msg35058;topicseen#msg35058

Code: [Select]
$row['body'] = parse_bbc($row['body'], $row['smileys_enabled'], $row['id_msg']) . '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?topic=' . $row['id_topic'] . '.0" title="' . $row['subject'] . '">...</a>';
Simply removed "..." from <a> and now it's ok.

Thanks for trying to help again.

muxen,

I'm glad you figured this out.
Since you didn't originally state that you had modified that block, I was completely at a loss as to why smileys were not working for you.

Have you tried the SimplePortal documentation?

Modified many php files, didn't know that one caused the problem.

Thought it's some known bug or something.

OK.  Now I am really confused.
At first, I thought you were saying you had modified the code before it broke, and then fixed it by removing your modification.

Can you attach the file before and after you removed those dots?  I just can't understand how removing those dots (a step that happened AFTER the bbc_parse) would have made a bit of difference to the parsing of the smilies...
