Topic: silly question.. hidden members

Hello,

on the who is online block you can see if someone is hidden... i had that experience twice... when can someone become hidden? And..... if i want to remove that from the who's online block how do i do that?

Not sure how to remove it.

If a person requests hidden status within their profile in the forum then it is automatic on the portal.

ie I am a member on your forum requesting to be hidden.

On the forums main index I would show as hidden. This occurs on the portal also.

That block uses the function ssi_whosOnline in SSI.php
Here's what controls who sees hidden users:

  'reverse_sort' => true,
 );
So -- everyone who is allowed to moderate the forum will see the hidden users.
Nobody else sees them.
 
I believe this is similar to the behavior at ?action=who

thanks for your reply... however.. i have hidden test accounts quit ofthen... and although they appear cursive in the who is online list... the hidden count is not showing 1.

Also a regular member saw this.. that it displayd Hidden: 1

I think I understand you now.  I think this is a difference between who.php and the ssi function.I haven't searched through the code myself.
 
For an improved who block, you might try adapting the code which is used on the who page.
