Restore the SP's copyright in footer
« on: April 04, 2013, 12:28:47 PM »
SP 2.3.5

Hi,

Hosting says that my webserver suddenly crashed, just only 10 minutes. After up, somethings wrong with my website, I can't login to cPanel so I request reset password to hosting. Another wrong is in the footer, the SP copyright suddenly in the very bottom from any copyright that isn't very bottom.

Is there a way to move it to after the "SMF 2.0.2 | SMF © 2011, Simple Machines"?

There's no real clear cut way to fix it without editing the copyright functions (ie generation of the copyright) which is against the copyright.

If you have not changed the php code of the copyright function, the only logical explanation is some kind of CSS oddity. Please provide a link so we can see the HTML and CSS for the copyright statement.

Thanks

SimplePortal uses the SMF copyright link to inject its copyright to the right place in the template. Since the SMF copyright on your site has been modified for the "no index/ no follow" stuff, SimplePortal can't find seem to recognize the SMF copyright. If you can attach your Subs-Portal.php file found in Sources directory here, I can modify the function to accommodate for the changes you have on your site.
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

In order to get it to work with the "nofollow" added to the SMF copyright line, I suggest replacing that file with the one attached below -- it needs to become your new Subs_Portal.php file.

But syntax error come from your attached file, which has double comma (,,) after $fix.

But now, It works with manual edit.

My apologies for the syntax error.  I obviously did not test.
I am glad you fixed it.
